What is animation? (from Wikipedia)

In general, the concept Animation means any type of activity that encourages others to activity, organizing and helping people to continue with the activity so that it fulfills its mission. It is possible to animate a company meeting, passing time on a holiday, an audience before a match, a children carnival etc.

Pedagogic dictionary (Prucha, 1998) defines animation as an educational method based on indirective and active methods of encouraging the young to find their own path in life and the ability to bring their freedom and autonomy to life.

It is about providing people with such an interesting offer of constructive activities that various forms of anti-societal behavior lose their attraction without moralizing or posing restrictions.

Some authors connect animation with education by experience. In spite that animation uses intensive experience moments, a relationship continues to be the first priority. Only a relationship can stand a chance in a big competition of entertainment industry, which offers a variety of experiences and has much better prerequisites for their creation.

How can I become an animator?

The good news is, you don’t have to be born animator. You can become one thanks to your determination. Of course, it’s not easy.

An animator should not have problem with basic dance moves of various dance styles, should know rules of sports and social games, speak at least one foreign language and, the most important, and love to communicate with people. Representativeness and contact with people is alpha and omega of animation.

As a member of the RILIFE team I can add that you need a lot of optimism, patience, self confidence and you need to be willing to dive in and take risks. Even if work of animator is very demanding, I am convinced that it is worth what you invest in it. It pays back when someone shakes your hand at the end of the day thanking you for creating an unforgettable day for them. It pays back when you see the smiling faces of children when you dance with them. It pays back when you get to know interesting people from all over the world. Based on my own experience I can say that once you start with animation, you can’t stop.

If you are determined to pull this off and make your move to the world of animation, let us know, send your CV and a picture to our email address and become a member of the RILIFE team.
